Want to Join a Working Group?

We began the process by organizing ourselves into small, issue and action oriented groups because folks are interested in the general areas of progressive citizen action listed below.  We’ve noted specific issues these groups want to address in the coming years. Each Working Group is led by a convener.

Our Current Working Groups are:

  • Children's Rights & Education
    • The Children’s Rights and Education group follows bills in the legislature that affect children and families, particularly regarding education and young children.
  • Energy, Environment & Climate Change
  • Gun Violence Prevention
  • Healthcare (Obamacare, Medicare, Medicaid and Abortion Rights)
    • MISSION: To understand and respond to state and national healthcare policy in order to improve the health and welfare of New Hampshire citizens.
  • Human Rights (includes Racial Justice, Social Justice, Immigration, LGBTQIA+, Disability, Mental Health, Sexual Violence, and Religious Freedom)
    • Primary focus is on local and state advocacy. We try to assist our neighbors and fellow residents of New Hampshire if they are subjected to oppression, discrimination, harassment or other forms of injustice.
    • National/federal issues like DACA, travel bans, ICE detention, transgender bans, Title IX, ACA, and ADA.
  • Swing Blue Together (Preparing Now for 2020 and Promoting Civil Political Discourse)
  • Voting Rights (Campaign Finance Reform, Redistricting & Electoral Reform)
    • We advocate for protecting and defending the fundamental right to vote and to participate in democratic self-governance, fairly-drawn non-partisan electoral districts and wards throughout our state, and transforming the way we fund campaigns. In the time of the COVID 19 pandemic, we are focused on the safety and integrity of our elections this Fall. We work closely with the state and local government as well as other grass roots organizations to accomplish the goal of free and fair elections in 2020. .
  • KSC Cafe & Postcards
    • Our goal is to promote advocacy on progressive legislative issues through influencing constituents’ and/or legislators’ votes via hand written items such as postcards and index cards.
    • During the 2018 mid-terms this working group wrote and posted 9,001 postcards in a six week period.

“And I should like to be able to love my country and still love justice. I don't want any greatness for it, particularly a greatness born of blood and falsehood. I want to keep it alive by keeping justice alive.”
