Dear Kent Streeters,

KSC Happenings will come to you in two parts this week. Part 1 highlights actions needing attention tonight or early tomorrow (Tuesday, May 27). Part 2 will include additional action items for the week and looking ahead.

This how we adapt when holidays and sickness hit! I have now come to expect that when I come home from a visit with my daycare-going grandson, I will invariably bring home with me a heart full of joy and awe and some kind of sickness that will knock me out for a day or two. In my mind, it’s a bargain! But this time, it did mean some delays in getting Happenings out to you all.

As we close out this Memorial Day weekend, I hope we can honor those who lost their lives in the name of freedom by continuing to fight for the causes they believed in: justice, equality, the rule of law, the Constitution – and fulfilling the promise of America.
