STATE HOUSE VISIBILITY ALERT
Tomorrow is the last day of the legislative session…
BIG TURNOUT NEEDED THURSDAY JUNE 26th!
Dear Kent Street Friends,
A big thanks to all who were able to join us for yesterday’s kick off of the FIGHT FOR OUR FUTURE campaign. Because of the extreme heat, I know many of you were unable to attend. I ended up leaving early myself because the heat was just too much for me…so I respect everyone making their own best decision about whether and how to participate.
BUT GOOD NEWS! We have another chance to show up tomorrow! Kent Street will be at the State House from 8 to 10 am to:
- SUPPORT our Democratic legislators, who have shown up with dedication and determination to fight the good fight, week in and week out.
And will be joining with organizational partners to:
- OPPOSE HB 60, a bill that allows no cause evictions
- OPPOSE the Book Ban bill already heading to Governor Ayotte’s desk by participating in a Read-In with the Freedom to Read Coalition
- OPPOSE the Big, Bad, Terrible Budget, focusing on cuts to Medicaid
- OPPOSE bills that will restrict access to absentee voting and accessible voting options
- OPPOSE HB 60, a bill that allows no cause evictions
So as you can see, there are many reasons to show up tomorrow. Please bring your favorite banned book and see you there!
With eyes on the prize,
Louise
