With over 1000 bills filed for the 2026 session, House and Senate committees are doubling up on hearing days and scheduling all day sessions.
By working closely with our coalition partners, the Kent Street Coalition works hard to sift through all of these bills and prioritize those that are most likely to have the greatest impact, for good or bad, on individuals, our communities and the Granite State as a whole. Based on this work, we put forth recommendations about supporting or opposing bills. However, we encourage everyone to make their own choice about each bill. We include links to bills to help you in this decision-making process.
IMPORTANT: Some House committees are now holding hearings on Mondays and too often that means important bills are overlooked. For example, this Monday, there are two very bad abortion bills being heard in the House Judiciary Committee: HB 1702 and HB 1769. Planned Parenthood is asking everyone to sign in OPPOSE on both. There are additional priority bills that also require your attention. PLEASE don’t wait to take ACTION!
