We have been talking a lot about coalition and community at Kent Street lately.  Louise Spencer talked about the challenges and rewards of being in coalition in Happenings this week.

Some of the things she mentioned hold true for our Visibility Team too. Many of us have a particular interest that drives our activism, whether that be gun violence prevention, voting rights, or standing up for the voiceless. While it is important to hold true to the concerns that drive our activism, please know that many of the topics that we care about are closely connected and when we show up in coalition and community, it informs and strengthens us as we stand up for our values.

This week, we once again hope that you can join us for visibility events at the State House. We know that our presence is important to our Democratic legislators as they enter the State House during this very difficult legislative session.  We also know that we have the ability to frame the message for the public and media.
