The “Safeguard American Voter Eligibility Act” aka the SAVE Act, is still being pushed by the Trump Administration.

The debate has numerous times made clear this is not simply a photo ID requirement bill. It is a power grab by the federal government over what is constitutionally a states rights issue. It would change the voting laws and procedures in many states. And it would potentially disenfranchise millions of people who would need to register or reregister to vote but lack access to paperwork such as passports or birth certificates.

Oppose the SAVE Act

Fight the SAVE Act by contacting our Members of Congress. Trump is digging his heels in deeper and deeper on the so-called SAVE Act knowing full well that the only way for Republicans to win in November is to deny millions the right to vote. We must continue to follow this bill closely and insist that our members of Congress continue to hold firm in opposition. doubling down on the SAVE Act—a transparent attempt to strip voting rights from millions before November. We must track this bill relentlessly and demand our representatives hold the line against this attack on democracy.
