Spread the word about voting, elections, and candidates!
Your future at the gas pump, in school, or at the doctor’s office is decided long before legislators arrive in Concord. The best way to protect your rights and your pocketbook is to vote in legislators committed to fixing New Hampshire’s problems, not just handing over tax cuts to MAGA’s billionaire buddies.
Help Kent Street Coalition and our partners empower and educate voters across the state in a few easy steps:
- Share voting information far and wide and encourage friends to check their voter registration on the Secretary of State website.
- Commit to taking action and encourage others to join you!
- Talk, talk talk about elections and how voting for Democrats will make life better in New Hampshire. From the crisis in property tax to public education to housing, healthcare, and more, legislators must be held accountable for the policies that make life harder for Granite Staters.
1) Engage Your Network
Talking politics and elections can be challenging. We get it. But now, more than ever, it is critical that we engage our neighbors and friends on how the issues Granite Staters are facing (property tax, healthcare, etc.) can be addressed at the ballot box. Good conversations begin with listening.
We’ve created a Conversation Guide and training video to help you engage in those tricky conversations about politics. Learn more below:
In campaign circles, engaging with your social and personal network is called Relational Organizing. It really just means building on the things you are already doing–like sharing important information and encouraging engagement with your friends and neighbors.
View and share our handy worksheet for organizing your contacts and making a plan to connect with friends and neighbors about elections between now and election day!
Vote Together!
Our friends at PFLAG provide a guide for having a “Vote Together” party to fill out absentee ballots or go together to the polls. This is a great way to make sure your friends know to vote for Democrats in every New Hampshire race.
2) Understand the Issues
Click the topics below for resources to understand how MAGA-inspired GOP policies impact everyday life for Granite Staters, and encourage people to vote Democrat to undo the damage:

Taking money away from our public schools has been a signature initiative in the years of Republican/Free State rule in New Hampshire, from the unregulated Education Freedom Account voucher program to the current ballot question that would impose school budget caps on every community.
New Hampshire ranks last in the nation in state support for education, and that means local communities are picking up the tab, or watching their schools and student achievement decline. These resources and fact sheets will help you understand and inform others about the crisis in school funding created by the New Hampshire GOP:

Statement from the Kent Street Coalition Health Care Working Group:
As health care professionals and as consumers of health care, our experience shows us that health care in New Hampshire is in crisis. Soaring costs for health insurance, inflated prices for hospital care and higher out-of-pocket charges for primary and specialist care stress every NH resident. Many of our current state government’s health policies are misguided and fiscally irresponsible and put the health of Granite Staters in jeopardy. This fact sheet explains many of our concerns.

The level of state funding for public education has been litigated for more than three decades, yet still NH property taxes provide seven out of ten dollars for school funding. In recent years under GOP leadership, revenue streams–like taxes on the wealthy–have been eliminated, downshifting yet more costs to local property tax payers to pick up the slack. Here are some resources to help you understand and talk about these issues to friends, family, and your community.
Affordability is the watchword of this election–we all are feeling the pinch, and we know it stems directly from the policies enacted by New Hampshire’s GOP/Free State government, to say nothing of Trump’s failed tariffs and war of choice in Iran. That’s why these midterm elections are so important–we can’t afford to not change course. Here are some resources to help you talk about affordability and its impacts on all of us:
