School tax caps on November state & federal election ballots every two years – from our friends at AFT-NH

HB 1300

HB 1300 would require every community to vote on a school tax cap every two years in the November general election—taking a process that already exists locally and mandating it from the state, while doing nothing to lower property taxes or solve the real challenges facing our schools. HB 1300 will be voted on by the Senate Election Law and Municipal Affairs Committee on Tuesday, April 28th at 9:30 AM.
